This Singapore apartment interior design project is about finding the balance between appearance and usability.
Red walnut serves as the visual thread connecting the different areas of the home, bringing depth, warmth, and a sense of classic sophistication to the interiors. The project combines custom home furniture with functional planning. Every cabinet, wardrobe, and vanity was designed with the specific requirements of the space and the family in mind. Kitchen
Natural wood-inspired finishes have remained popular in kitchen interior design for a reason. Their organic patterns and warm undertones can add visual interest. For this kitchen, OPPOLIA Home took that timeless quality a step further with raised-panel cabinet doors. The detailing introduces a classic architectural element, while crown molding completes the upper cabinetry and creates a polished transition toward the ceiling.
Functionality was an important consideration in the kitchen layout. Instead of treating the entire kitchen as a single working area, the design separates food preparation from cooking through a dedicated dry kitchen and wet kitchen. The dry zone provides a convenient setting for tasks such as preparing ingredients, washing food, and organizing meals. Cooking takes place in the wet kitchen, where the stove and other cooking activities can be accommodated.
This arrangement gives the family greater flexibility during meal preparation. Different activities can happen simultaneously without everything competing for the same countertop or working area.
For an apartment where available space needs to be used carefully, this custom kitchen design divides the kitchen according to function, making everyday movement more intuitive and efficient. Inside the cabinetry, OPPOLIA incorporated a selection of smart kitchen storage solutions to make better use of hard-to-access areas. Corner storage is improved with magic-corner baskets, allowing items stored in deep cabinet spaces to be brought forward when needed. Pull-outs provide another convenient way to access everyday supplies without having to search through the back of a cabinet. Organized drawers and dedicated accessories further help separate different categories of items. The result is a kitchen where kitchen storage is not simply about adding more cabinets, but about making the available storage easier and more enjoyable to use.
Bedrooms
A full-height bedroom wardrobe has been fitted precisely into the available wall space, creating a clean and integrated appearance. Its melamine finish follows the warm wood-grain theme established in the rest of the apartment. This repeated design accent helps connect the bedroom to the kitchen while maintaining a calm and cohesive atmosphere.
The inside of the custom wardrobe is just as carefully planned as its exterior. Instead of relying on a single open storage compartment, the interior incorporates different solutions for different belongings. A trouser rack provides an organized place for hanging trousers, while higher compartments can accommodate seasonal clothing and possessions that are not needed every day. For smaller valuables, a dedicated drawer has been designed for watches and jewelry. This gives accessories their own designated location and makes them easier to organize.
Lighting is another thoughtful addition. LED strips inside the wardrobe are paired with sensors that activate the lights when the doors are opened. The illumination makes it easier to see clothing and accessories while adding a soft atmospheric quality to the space.
With these features combined, the wardrobe functions as more than a conventional storage cabinet. It creates a compact personal area where clothing, accessories, and everyday grooming essentials can be conveniently arranged.
The golden wardrobe handles introduce a refined accent against the deeper wood tone, adding a subtle decorative element without overpowering the wardrobe design.
Bathrooms
The bathrooms carry the home’s warm material palette into another part of the apartment. Matching tones help maintain continuity, while the vanity designs introduce a clean and contemporary element. The floating bathroom vanities create a visually lighter appearance and provide practical storage for bathroom necessities. Integrated mirrors combine two everyday functions in one compact arrangement, making the vanity area suitable for grooming while helping keep the countertop organized. The design is particularly effective for apartment bathrooms, where every part of the available footprint needs to serve a purpose.
The master bathroom and guest bathroom do not share exactly the same dimensions or layout, so the custom bathroom vanities were adapted accordingly. OPPOLIA adjusted the proportions and design details of each unit to suit its individual location. This custom bathroom furniture approach allows the furniture to fit naturally within each bathroom instead of forcing the rooms to accommodate a standardized product.
